If you make a contract with us on-line these terms and conditions will wholly prevail over any terms and conditions, proposed by you. You should not proceed with your purchase until you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.

We reserve the right to cancel and refund any order, at any time.


    We and our suppliers continuously strive to improve our goods and products and reserve the right to amend the specification of any goods or products for future sales without prior notice. This includes but is not exhaustive to the adjustment of sizes or detailing of any goods or products purchased. If you require the exact size then please email or phone us to check exact sizes or any other potential changes as on occasions, adjustments may have been made by our supplier prior to us receiving the goods or products.

    All our furniture is made from natural high quality wood and in so the appearance may vary. The appearance of the wood may change over time with age; exposure to sunlight; exposure to temperature changes and use by the customer.

    Our furniture is handmade and it is possible distressing can occur. This is very much intended and makes each piece totally individual. Filler may be used on our oak furniture. This is quite common and very much part of the manufacturing process. Depending on the range will depend on distressing applied; It is advised that you contact us prior to placing your order to discuss your particular requirements and expectations.

    Our leather goods and products are made from quality natural leather and in so will possibly not be consistent in colour or texture. Only the finest hides are selected but they will show natural marks and scars on the hide.

    On occasions certain goods or products will be delivered in more than more piece and will need minimal assembly, this is to protect the item in carriage and ensure it can be transported into the customer’s home. Please contact us before placing your order if you wish to confirm this. If delivery is outside Norfolk it is likely that a courier will deliver the item and are only contracted to deliver such products and goods to the customers front door. All positioning and assembly is the responsibility of the customer.

    We do our very best to display our products and goods as true to their natural likeness that appear on the website. However, we cannot guarantee the pictures or photographs that are shown to be totally accurate and in so please contact us before placing your order to discuss this if you feel it necessary.

    We have a specific area of our website where we show some goods and products as clearance ranges. If you purchase products or goods from the clearance/discontinued ranges, this stock is new and unused unless otherwise stated. These goods or products may have been in our stock for a while and subsequently regularly handled. This may mean the goods or products may have knocks, scratches or other possible defects. The reduced price does take this into consideration. We will we ever possible highlight any significant defects in the sale. However, please contact us before placing an order should you feel it necessary for more information on any specific item.

    We will not accept any liability for any extra costs incurred by the customer, resulting from incorrect or incomplete measurements and/or information supplied by you, or minor alterations made by the supplier. If a small change in size may deem the item unusable, it it important you contact us prior to placing the order. All dimensions specified by us are approximate.

    Our solid hardwood furniture will require some TLC immediately upon receipt and we recommend at least every 3 months you use a natural wax polish. We can supply the wax and this available on the website in selected colours. Please treat your furniture immediately on delivery because the modern home heating environment will accelerate the drying process. Failure to treat such items as instructed will result in drying and cracking.


    All prices include VAT at the current rate and can be subject to change due to promotional offers or discounts.


    The payment options we accept are credit card, debit card or Paypal. You accept that all details you provide to us for the purpose of purchasing goods or products; which is offered on our website will be correct; that your payment option which you choose to use is your own and that there are sufficient funds or credit facilities to cover the cost of your order. We reserve the right to obtain validation of your payment details before accepting your order.

    Payment for your order will be taken in full at the time of the order. The contract shall not have been concluded until we have completed all of the following steps:

    • We have received your valid payment details.
    • We have accepted your on-line or phone order and sent you confirmation of receipt of your order by return e-mail to the address you have given us during the payment procedure.
    • We have dispatched the goods to you.


    We do not issue individual discount codes. We offer a discount generically throughout the site at random times of the year at the discretion of The Furniture Workshoppe.


    We are only able to deliver within the UK mainland via our online service. Please contact us should you wish to purchase from us but live elsewhere.

    We will confirm your order via email and will advise as to whether your purchase is in stock or will need to be made to order. Please make an allowance of up to 15 working days from date of dispatch for our carriers to fulfil the final delivery to your home.

    • For deliveries using our Two Man Delivery Service – If you are unable, to take delivery of your goods or products on the delivery date arranged; you must inform the carriers at least one working day in advance so that another date can be booked. If, through no fault of their own, our carriers cannot gain access on the date agreed, return charges will apply.
    • For deliveries using our Parcel Delivery Service – If you are unavailable to take delivery of your goods or products at the time of attempted delivery you will be left a card with details, so that you can contact the carriers directly and rearrange delivery yourself. If you do not contact the carrier within the time given on the card the goods or products will be returned to us. In this instance return charges will apply.
    • If our carriers accidentally damage the goods or products in the course of delivery, our liability for that damage will be limited to a repair; replacement or refund of the goods or products to the original price paid.
    • You may choose to have your goods or products delivered to or by your own carrier. However we will not accept any responsibility or liability for any damage to your goods or products once they leave our warehouse.
    • The time of the delivery is not quintessence in these terms and conditions. We will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through any reasonable delay due to unforeseen circumstances outside of our control or any reasonable rescheduling of the delivery.
    • Should we be requested to make a second delivery, a charge of £30 will apply.
    • When an order has more than one item, the dispatch date will be assigned according to the longest lead time. If more than one order is placed within 7 days for the same delivery address, these will be grouped and the dispatch date will again be chosen according to the longest lead time.
    • The customer is responsible for providing a safe means of access to the place of delivery. If the delivery service staff, consider access to be unsafe, they will not deliver the goods until safe access is provided.
    • If we are unable to deliver the goods due to there being no safe means of access, we reserve the right to cancel your order and refund the payments subject to our refund policy.

    damages and/or incorrect delivery

    If your goods or products are unfortunately received damaged, please call us immediately on (01953) 851338 and we will do our best to help you. You must phone us and not ask the Delivery Service to report the damage.

    Please report damages immediately following inspection if this is possible or at least within 24 hours of delivery.

    We will require proof of the damage from a photograph for us to be able to facilitate an allowance, exchange or refund of the goods or products.

    It is known that on rare occasions slight swelling can occur on doors or drawers which can make them stiff to open. It is important not to return or refuse the item if this is case. You must inform us immediately of this occurrence and what your instructions are. The swelling usually settles within 7 days once the timber adjusts to its new environment and heating conditions. Sometimes you may find that simply swapping the drawers will remedy this. Please ensure that you contact us on or following delivery to advise us of the problem. If after 7 days you are not happy with your goods or products and the swelling has not settled down, we will arrange a replacement or refund for you.

    If we deliver incorrect or damaged goods/products, or in the event that you discover any defect in the goods during the 7 days after your delivery, you must report this as soon as possible and no later than the 7 days specified. Please keep the goods or products purchased in a saleable condition and retain the original packaging in the condition your goods or products were delivered to in.

    Should it be deemed impractical to offer a replacement, re-delivery or re-selection of any damaged or faulty items we maintain the right to offer an allowance against a repair, or alternatively a refund for your purchase. Any items returned that are non-faulty will always be returned at the expense of the customer. Please refer to our return charges.

    We will not be liable for any damage or loss resulting from repairs attempted by you or third parties.


    If you wish to return the goods or products other than because of damage or incorrect goods or products received the following will apply.

    You can request a return within 7 days of receiving your goods or products. Please contact us by phone or email within the time specified. Once we have received your instructions we will issue you with details on returning your goods or products.

    Please return the goods or products in the same condition as received and in the original packaging. We request that if the goods or products packaging is opened so as to be examined, please do so without damaging the box and packaging or damaging the product in any way. Please re-package as received. If the delivery service un-wraps the goods or products, please ensure the packaging remains with you. Please do not allow the delivery service or any other party to destroy any packaging as we request the item to be returned with original packaging.

    Goods or Products with Free Delivery – We reserve the right to refund less than the original purchase price. The original delivery fees will have been accounted for within our profit margin; we are unable to do this for returned items therefore return charges will apply. The customer will be responsible for the arranging of and costs incurred associated with the return of goods and products.

    It is important to take note that before purchasing our goods or products, once the goods or products have been dispatched from our warehouse, return charges will apply if the order is then cancelled. Therefore, please ensure if cancelling an order contact us immediately to avoid unwanted items being dispatched.

    REFUNDS and your right to cancel

    A full refund of the cost of the goods or products purchased by you via our online or phone service is conditional upon the previous Terms and Conditions being met and the refund made only after a full inspection of the goods or products has been carried out by us, so as to ensure for totality and correct product return.

    For goods or products received back to us complete with original packaging; in the same condition as was received by you and unused; you will be refunded the full invoice amount less the cost of the return.

    If you are unable, for whatever reason, to facilitate the collection of your goods on the confirmed date arranged, you must inform us at least one working day in advance so that another date can be booked. If, through no fault of their own, our carriers cannot gain access on the date agreed, return charges will apply.

    After the 7 day period has expired we will be unable to accept returns of any items purchased unless faulty or we have already agreed to accept the return in writing to the customer.

    Subject to your statutory rights, all goods or products made or changed specifically at you request, may not be returned and we will not provide any refund. This does not apply if goods or products are defective or have been accidentally damaged by us in the course of delivery to you.

We will always do our best to rectify any errors, as quickly as possible, but unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for any losses incurred.

We cannot accept liability for any particular material on the website or as a result of any use of or reliance placed upon the information contained on this website.
